Discover the brand
Gebrüder Thonet Vienna GmbH (GTV) is a historic Viennese brand, famous for having patented the technique of steam-bent wood, an element that, together with the "Vienna straw", recurs in the brand's products. The contemporary classic style is common to all collections, characterised by elegant and timeless shapes.
From the collaboration between GDV and LucidiPevere comes Chignon, a counter-trend armchair that combines innovation and classic style in a single piece of furniture. The back of the armchair is reminiscent of a hairstyle, while the entire seat is deliberately reminiscent of the silhouette of a shapely, curvaceous woman.
GTV was founded in Vienna in 1842, when Michael Thonet patented the technique of steam bending wood, and within a few years production expanded worldwide. The company has always been, and continues to be, an avant-garde reality recognised all over the world.
